UAE-based marine survey and positioning company Geosonic has been awarded a contract to carry out an underwater inspection of more than 200 kilometers of offshore pipeline infrastructure in Turkmenistan, Offshore Energy reported.

The project includes remotely operated vehicle (ROV) pipeline inspections, geophysical surveys, cathodic protection assessments, and subsea data acquisition. The collected data will be used to evaluate the condition of the offshore assets and support the integrity management of critical oil and gas infrastructure.

According to the company, the contract is its second project in Turkmenistan. Geosonic said the expanded scope of work reflects its growing presence in the Caspian region and demonstrates its capability to deliver integrated subsea survey and inspection services for large-scale offshore developments.
